Looking for some way to fuse punk with electronic music with this one. Had my first attempt at trying to create my own synth sound too - it ended up being an 80's pad with a wah effect on it. At the time of recording the great Eddie Van Halen had just passed on, so in tribute I sort of stole one of his trade mark licks in the solo. Scoot's voice is absolutely superb as always.
Hope you enjoy it. Let me know what you think by leaving a comment below.

The song is in 3/4 time which I don't write in all that often. It's a very simple song and in a way - it really needed to be. It's about slowing down and noticing all the great things that are out there in the world. Reminds me of that quote from Ferris Bueller:
"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it".

I had been listening to a lot of old Weezer albums when I wrote this. Took me back to the eatly 90's and the teenage years. I never intended it to have quite so many harmonies - but if you hear them, why not give it a go and see how they sound?
This was one of the last songs I recorded using an old Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 2nd generaltion interface, there's a lot to learn in audio production and I am still a complete baby. Still the technology today far outpaces the old 4 track casette recorder.
Here's to better songs and better recordings!!!!
